Good art makes you forget that you're going to die; great art makes you feel like you'll live forever. - jB
The news of this week has been a surreal, sad and anxiety inducing week, more so than most others it seems. Today I've been trying to contemplate all that's happened and what it means. So, I've been walking around the city, looking at people, and listening to the track below. And I've been thinking about these things:
Those who are the loudest are often the weakest.
Those who consistently blame others for failures and claim responsibility for achievements are often very fearful of what happens when they look inside themselves.
Those who use threats and intimidation as a way of getting things done often feel the most insecure about themselves.
An adult with an irrational sense of entitlement exists in a different kind of reality than most exist in.
No human is as powerful as nature is, nor ever as important.
We have a lot to gain from helping each other out.
Here is the soundtrack to these thoughts:
Well, summer's not over. Not by a long shot. Kat Burns and I made a two song summer EP to prove it. It's called "Summer EP", and it can be the soundtrack to all of the sun bathing, bridge diving, water skiing, and urban park drinking that is yet to come! Check it out HERE!
And have a great rest of the summer, will ya?
